Every summer, the scouts of Troop 163 go to Goshen Scout Camp to earn merit badges and participate in a large-scale community camping experience.Â
Goshen Scout Reservation is a large summer camp operated by the National Capital Area Council that offers Scouts a traditional outdoor experience focused on leadership, adventure, and skill-building. Located in the mountains of Virginia, the reservation includes multiple camps and provides opportunities for Scouts to earn merit badges, participate in high-adventure programs, and build teamwork and independence in a fun outdoor environment.
Swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and other waterfront activities
Merit badge classes in subjects like archery, environmental science, and first aid
Hiking, camping, and outdoor survival skills
Shooting sports such as rifle and shotgun ranges
