Looking for new friends, fun, adventure, and leadership beyond sports and other organizations? Troop 163 is a girls only troop with over 50 girls from Arlington, McLean, and Alexandria. Scouts go on unforgettable adventures that form core memories and teach real-world survival skills. We have a monthly outdoor activity (camping or other fun experiences).

Our 2026-27 year is off to an incredible start! Here's what we've done and what's coming up:
☑️August 14-16: Beach & Water Sports Family Campout – What a blast! Our scouts kicked off the year with 2 nights of family fun, beach time, and water adventures.
September 11-13: White Water Rafting – Get your feet wet (literally!) with an exciting 2-night rafting adventure
October 16-18: District Camporee – Compete and connect with other troops across the district
November 14-15: Cave Exploring or Horseback Riding Campout – Choose your adventure for this 1-night trip
December 11-12: Indoor Climbing & Overnight – Scale new heights (indoors for winter!)
January 8-10: Cabin Campout at Camp Snyder – Cozy up for 2 nights of winter fun
January 18: MLK Day of Service – Give back to our community at Potomac Overlook
February 5-6: Klondike Derby – Test your skills in this exciting winter challenge
March 6-7 & 13: Spring Adventures – Sandy Springs campout plus the Alonzo Stagg Hike
April 18-19: Prince William Forest Campout – 5-mile hike and scout skills challenge
May 8-9: Antietam Biking Adventure – Explore history on two wheels
June 20-26: Summer Camp
July: Seabase High Adventure – Ultimate water-based experience for our most adventurous scouts
